Varsity college holds tree-planting initiative in PD forest reserve

THe Management and Science University (MSU) College Seremban conducted a tree-planting programme in Port Dickson, Negri Sembilan.

MSU and MSU College president Prof Tan Sri Datuk Wira Dr Mohd Shukri Abd Yajid launched the event held at the Sungai Menyala forest reserve as part of the national 100 Million Tree-Planting Campaign 2021-2025 programme.

Also present was Negri Sembilan Forestry Department director Saleh Awaludin.

The programme was held in collaboration with the Negri Sembilan Forestry Department.

It will be held annually by MSU College Seremban to raise awareness on the importance of sustainability and improving the country’s ecosystem and biodiversity.

A total of 250 merbau and nadir saplings were planted around the forest reserve.

The programme also included hiking and jungle trekking, allowing participants to experience the beauty of the forest reserve.
