HONDA Malaysia is making a splash at the CarSifu Auto Show 2022 with two of its popular and budget-friendly models.

In the spotlight at the auto show at Mid Valley Megamall, Kuala Lumpur from Oct 5 to 9 are the HR-V compact sports utility vehicle (SUV) and the City.

With the City, Honda Malaysia is highlighting in particular the V-SENSING variant that comes with a higher level of safety and intelligent driving experience.

Honda HR-V

The all-new HR-V boasts a bold cutting-edge look with a fastback-like rear styling complemented with premium features such as LED headlights and a LED taillight strip.

Customers get a choice of four variants and three powertrains to choose from.

There are the S, E, V and RS variants and powering the HR-V is a choice of 1.5-litre DOHC i-VTEC, 1.5-litre DOHC VTEC Turbocharged and 1.5-litre DOHC i-VTEC e:HEV hybrid engines.

Engine output ranges from 121PS/145Nm in the S and 181PS/240Nm in the E and V.

The engine of the RS cranks out 107PS/131Nm while its electric motors deliver 131PS/253Nm.

The hybrid RS also touts ultra-low fuel consumption of 4.1 litres per 100km.

All variants also come with the most complete Honda SENSING advanced driver assistance system.

It now includes nine innovative features — Forward Collision Warning, Collision Mitigation Braking System, Lane Keep Assist System, Road Departure Mitigation, Lane Departure Warning, Auto High Beam, Adaptive Cruise Control, Low Speed Follow and Lead Car Departure Notification.

The RS gets extras such as sporty bodykit, sports pedals and dual zone auto air- conditioner.Honda City V-SENSING

The City V-SENSING has the most complete advanced safety features in the B-segment at under RM100,000.

Based on the City sedan V variant, the enhanced City V-SENSING now gets the Honda SENSING advanced driver assistance system comprising Adaptive Cruise Control, Collision Mitigation Braking System, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Keep Assist System, Road Departure Mitigation, Lane Departure Warning and Auto High Beam for added safety.

Standard features include a powerful 1.5-litre DOHC i-VTEC engine with 121PS and 145Nm of torque mated to a CVT, six airbags, Honda LaneWatch camera, eight-inch display audio with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and a 519-litre boot space.

LED lighting is standard as well as 16-inch alloy wheels.
