ABOUT 500 members of the public including people with disabilities participated in a charity run organised by non-profit organisation Lovely Disabled Home (LDH).

The sixth annual event held at Kepong Metropolitan Park on Malaysia Day raised about RM220,000 for the people with disabilities.

The organisation also conducts workshops that provide job opportunities for people with disabilities in Petaling Jaya.

Present to flag off the 3km run were Lovely Disabled Home founder Lum Kok Kiang, Damansara MP Tony Pua, Kampung Tunku assemblyman Lim Yi Wei, and TV host Owen Yap.

Ambassadors from LDH Socks were also at the run to promote their product which was exclusively packed by people from the home.
