THE Kuala Lumpur Youth Career programme 2022 was held successfully as an initiative to assist the current young generation in finding jobs.
The career programme event was held from 8am to 5pm at the Malaysia Tourism Centre (Matic) in Kuala Lumpur.
During the recent launch, Federal Territories Youth and Sports Department director Asmori Sa’ahari said 15 companies from different sectors offered 2,276 job opportunities.
“Six companies are employing those with disabilities with 693 jobs offered for them.
“The programme contains a sharing session on technical skills and soft skills, preparation and evaluation session done by field experts for resume preparation and career tests.
“There was also an engagement session with the employers for an interview and with luck, a job offer on the spot,” he said.
The carnival also featured a workshop and sales booths, as well as cultural dance shows on the second day.
Also present were Kuala Lumpur Social Security Organisation director Mohd Asri Ngosman, Kuala Lumpur Youth Council president Mohd Naseer Mohamed and Matic deputy director Mohd Saufi Abd Rahman.
