The Senheng app concluded its inaugural S-Livestream Rising Star contest, with the top three winners getting RM30,000 collectively.

Launched on June 1, it aimed to discover new talents and recruit potential “S-Livestreamers” while helping them earn extra income.

Besides zero registration fees, contestants had a chance to work with big brands through Senheng and earn commissions from successful sales transactions.

A total of 170 contestants successfully entered the semi-final round, gaining valuable insights when 988FM’s DJ Emily shared her live-stream experiences with them.

From that group, 85 made it to the final round, which was held from Aug 12 to 28.

Then, five Rising Star mentors each guided a group of 17 finalists and shared their live-stream knowledge with them.

Twenty-seven Rising Star winners were selected.

The grand champion won a cash prize of RM15,000, while RM10,000 and RM5,000 went to second and third place winners respectively.

Additionally, seven Top 10 Rising Star winners won RM1,000 each, while 17 Brand Star winners won brand products worth RM2,000 each.

The Best Rising Star Mentor Award winner bagged RM5,000.

With S-Livestream, Senheng app users can check out consumer electronic products with live exclusive offers, make purchases on the spot and earn S-coin cashback.

The contest had 17 brand sponsors, led by two platinum sponsors – LG and Samsung.

There were seven gold sponsors – Panasonic, Sony, Robam, Haier, Oppo, Beko and Tefal. The silver sponsors were Sharp, Philips, Toshiba, Xiaomi, Microsoft, HP, Jimmy and Delighto.

The contest was also supported by media partners 988FM and SuriaFM, as well as ModenKOL, MC Jo Academy, Live Stream Academy and iDOU.
