THE ASSET upgrading and maintenance works at the Sungai Rasa Water Treatment Plant (Sg Rasa WTP) have reached 78.2% completion as of 3pm Tuesday (Aug 9).

Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) said in a statement that works are expected to be completed by 9pm today.

''Water tankers will be mobilised to affected areas as alternative water supply with priority given to critical premises such as hospitals, clinics, dialysis centres and funerals,'' said Air Selangor.

It added that the water supply is expected to be fully restored on Thursday (Aug 11) by 1am.

A total of 188 areas in Hulu Selangor were affected by water cuts following scheduled upgrading and maintenance works at Sg Rasa WTP.

Those affected can head to various local service centres to get water.

Water tankers will also be stationed at Puteri Central Park, Bandar Tasik Puteri; PKS Lotus BKT Sentosa, Jalan Orkid (beside KFC); as well as the parking lot along Jalan SR 3/3, Saujana Rawang.
