SEBERANG Prai City Council (MBSP) will organise an induction course for all joint management bodies (JMBs) and management corporations (MCs) of residential buildings on mainland Penang.
The course which will be held on Aug 27 at Dewan Haji Ahmad Badawi, Butterworth, will target a total of 150 participants from JMBs and MCs from the Seberang Prai area.
The purpose of the course is to provide exposure to all JMBs and MCs on procedures for their annual general meetings, as well as to educate them on their duties and responsibilities.
“We need them to be well-informed on the laws to enforce, to provide a comfortable and safe environment.
“This will also help create better management.
“We also want them to be unified in their compliance of laws and policies related to strata maintenance and management according to the Strata Management Act 2013,” said MBSP mayor Datuk Azhar Arshad after chairing a council meeting at the city council headquarters in Bandar Perda, Bukit Mertajam.
