Public can monitor projects in real time via Penang2030 Dashboard

The Penang2030 Dashboard linked to the Penang2030 website will enable the public to monitor government policies in real time and provide feedback.

Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow, who launched the system, said: “This will ensure that we are governed with a clear direction, taking into account the people’s well-being with focus on sustainable development goals.”

He said the public could offer constructive criticism on the state’s projects and their progress.

“We will continue realising the targets set in our Penang2030 vision to be a family-focused, green and smart state that inspires the nation,” he added during the event held at the Civil Service Assembly at The Top@Komtar in George Town, Penang.

The dashboard system was first developed by the state Information Technology and Communication Division (BTMKN) in 2021.

The primary aim was to directly monitor the achievement targets of “champion excos”.

It was recently upgraded by Digital Penang and the Chief Minister’s Office to enable the public to monitor programmes.

Chow later presented the Geospatial World Innovation Award to Penang Women’s Development Corporation for developing the Penang Stop Violence app and PLANMalaysia and BTMKN for the “MyKampung Connected Communities” app.

Also present were Deputy Chief Minister II Dr P. Ramasamy, state assembly speaker Datuk Law Choo Kiang, state executive councillors Chong Eng and Soon Lip Chee, state legal adviser Datuk Norazmi Mohd Narawi and state financial officer Datuk Dr Mohamad Farazi Johari.
