The Business Networking Club of Kuala Lumpur & Petaling Jaya handed over leadership to a new and energetic team with a vision to work with more groups to build up the economy.

The leadership installation dinner at a hotel in Petaling Jaya was attended by guests of honour Tengku Datuk Dr Hishammuddin Zaizi and Moroccan Embassy regional political affairs chief Yasser Ibourk.

Over 400 people attended the event including members of business associations and charities as well as artists and celebrities.

Incoming president Nelson Liew, founder and Vanilla Crepe chief executive officer, shared various innovative networking strategies at the dinner.

Traditionally, business networking is done informally by meeting people of the same industry at trade shows or clubs.

The new leaders wish to disrupt this current model by introducing new partnerships and events to include people from multiple industries.

Some of the new ways include charity drives, joint seminars or classes with other associations.

The club hopes to forge more business collaborations with non-profit groups, conglomerates and others to build a better Malaysia for all.
