Ratepayers urged to provide info to get bills digitally

SEBERANG Prai City Council (MBSP) ratepayers who have registered via CyberBill will receive their 2022 second term assessment bills via SMS and email by today.

Those who have not registered via CyberBill will receive physical bills from tomorrow.

Seberang Prai City Council (MBSP) mayor Datuk Azhar Arshad said assessment tax must be paid not later than Aug 31, 2022.

“Ratepayers who wish to receive their bills digitally in the future need to update their mobile phone number and email information,” he said after the council’s monthly full board meeting.

He said premises owners could also make payments online through several methods.

“Among them are Aspire Seberang Prai application, MBSP website www.mbsp.gov.my, MBSP payment portal mbsppay.mbsp.gov.my, Penang ebayar portal ebayar.penang.gov.my and KPKT’s PBTPay portal pbtpay.kpkt.gov.my

“The ratepayers can also pay via Internet banking such as Maybank2u and CIMB Clicks,” he he said, adding that the Biller Code was 5322.

Azhar said other payment options included Boost, Shopee and Touch N Go.

He added that payment could also be made at MBSP counters (Menara Bandaraya and its branches), PayQuik Kiosk, 7-Eleven stores and collection agents appointed by MBSP.
