SUSTAINABILITY has become an important factor in creating products catering to health and environmental concerns.

Watsons Malaysia’s latest campaign – “Green is the New Beautiful” – which features eco-friendly products, encourages customers to embrace sustainable living.

Its managing director Caryn Loh said, “To further raise awareness, we enable customers to reduce their resource footprint by providing more refill stations and recycling booths in our stores.”

Watsons is also fostering partnerships with Malaysian Nature Society (MNS) and Zoo Negara.

It has extended its adoption programme of animals such as the tapir and milky stork at the national zoo for another year and is involved in beach clean-ups with MNS.

Present at the campaign launch were Watsons Malaysia customer director and CSR ambassador Danny Hoh, actress and campaign ambassador Diana Danielle, Watsons celebrity friend Amber Chia, social and sustainability influencer Davina Goh, Zoo Negara deputy president Rahmat Ahmat Lana, MNS services head Intan Zurani and actor-singer Alvin Chong.

Diana said, “I am honoured to be part of this campaign as everyone has a responsibility to take care of Mother Nature.

“We would like to create a cleaner and healthier future.”

Watsons has also introduced a “Bring Your Own Bag” campaign where five Watsons points will be donated to MNS for conservation efforts.

The beauty retail chain is also offering purchase-with-purchase (PWP) deals with up to 50% discount at all Watsons stores nationwide and online to encourage sustainable shopping.

Prizes of up to RM50,000 can also be won along with Watsons points.

To be eligible for the prizes, customers must spend RM50 or more on participating brands between May 31 and June 29.
