Klang residents urged to use mobile service for tax payment

Assessment tax can be paid at Klang Municipal Council’s mobile van which will be parked in several neighbourhoods on weekends this month.

KLANG Municipal Council’s (MPK) mobile service for the payment of assessment tax will operate from 9am to 1pm every weekend this month.

The van will be parked in front of CSM in Bandar Bukit Raja today and tomorrow, in front of Burger King in Aman Perdana (June 18 and 19), and in front of Surau Al-Faizin in Taman Sungai Kapar Indah (June 25 and 26).

MPK president Noraini Roslan hoped that people would make use of the service provided.

“They can drive a shorter distance or walk to the van to make payment,” she said.

She added that the mobile service had been in operation for 18 years.

“We will continue to display the scheduled locations of the van on social media platforms and put up buntings in strategic areas.

“Other than the mobile service, we will also continue to have counters at selected shopping centres,” said Noraini.

Klang Consumer Association president Devadass Anjan said with the service, people need not drive to the council’s headquarters at Jalan Perbandaran.

“We hope property owners will be given a waiver on late payment charge as many are still impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic,” he said.
