Win a trip for two to Battersea Power Station in London.

DO you have what it takes to capture that perfect photo?

Put your photography skills to good use now to be in the running to win a trip for two to the prestigious Battersea Power Station in Central London, by submitting your best work for the Capture 8 Photo Contest organised by Sime Darby Property Bhd in partnership with Canon Malaysia.

Malaysian property developer Sime Darby Property is offering an all-paid trip for two to one of London’s most photogenic landmarks – Battersea Power Station, London as the grand prize for its Capture 8 Photo Contest.

Get started and come experience the unique environment and beauty of each township as you snap away towards your winning picture. Who knows, you may just find that perfect property to spend the rest of your life in, that perfect match for you and your family’s lifestyle needs.

To take part, all you need to do is to snap away and submit photos of Sime Darby Property townships that best encapsulate these three themes:

> Leisure: Capture the essence of what makes the place the ultimate oasis of rest and relaxation. Explore and capture the parks and pockets of greenery that allow residents to live a balanced lifestyle and enjoy moments with the family.

> Nature/Sustainability: Catch the breathtaking beauty of the natural environment and flourishing biodiversity for posterity. Show the world through your lens how the natural environment is incorporated into the landscaping to create a harmonious synergy between nature and living.

> Culture: Let your photos show the vibrant lifestyle and community characteristics that make living in the townships special. Snap away and show how residents can interact and get together to foster a community culture that is unique to the township.

The contest will run from now until Dec 7. It covers eight Sime Darby Property townships, and eight attractive prizes are offered for each category of Professional, Smartphone and – for the first time ever – Drone.

If you are thinking of capturing your perfect shot from the air, you may submit 360°degree and panoramic view photographs for this category.

In addition to the grand prize of the London trip, there are other great prizes worth over RM288,888, including Canon DSLR cameras, Canon printers, DJI drones and cash.

So put your creativity to the fore to take the photo that would stand out from the rest. The contest is rolled out in four waves and involves eight townships:

Wave 1 (April 8 to June 7): Putra Heights, Subang Jaya and Bandar Ainsdale, Seremban

Wave 2 (June 8 to Aug 7): KLGCC Resort, Bukit Kiara and Nilai Impian, Nilai

Wave 3 (Aug 8 to Oct 7): SJCC, Subang Jaya and KL East, Geopark Kuala Lumpur

Wave 4 (Oct 8 to Dec 7): City of Elmina, Shah Alam and Serenia City, Selangor.

Each township is uniquely distinguished and prominent, with ample embodiment of the contest’s themes. It is up to contestants to capture the essence of each theme to showcase the best of these developments through your lens.

Sime Darby Property is represented in its natural settings and also via sustainability efforts of the company to maintain the integrity of the natural environment.

Sime Darby Property townships are famed for leisure features that promote rest and relaxation for a holistic lifestyle, while culture is abundant in its placemaking efforts.

All these come together to make these townships home in every sense of the word to create a lifestyle and community for you and your family.

The Capture 8 Photo Contest will allow the public to experience how these three themes are brought to life distinctively in each township through careful planning, design and execution.

These elements can be abundantly found in Sime Darby Property townships, such as harnessing the natural environment into its landscaping as part of the company’s sustainability efforts, as well as plentiful pockets of green areas and amenities, such as jogging tracks and parks that promote leisure and relaxation as well as foster a sense of community among residents.

Participants are encouraged to use their skills and creativity to tell the stories of these townships, in any or all of the competition categories. Register to enter submissions here.

Entries will be judged according to adherence to theme, originality, creativity and expressiveness.

The panel of judges is made up of distinguished photographers from Canon Malaysia, a certified photographer from Canon Malaysia, and representatives from Sime Darby Property as well as brand ambassadors Bonnie Yap and Pojie.
