THE National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) rewarded winners of its Gong Xi Ang Pow 2022 and myPTPTN Klik-klik je! campaigns at an event to celebrate its customers.

The Gong Xi Ang Pow 2022 campaign, themed “Gong Xi Simpan, Kongsi Ong! Hari-Hari Mesti Mau Simpan Tau!” (Gong Xi Save your fortune, share the wealth! Save up every day!), ran from Jan 15 to Feb 12.

The campaign was aimed at bringing together Malaysians, regardless of race, to share in the Chinese New Year festivities.

As many as eight winners walked away with prizes worth almost RM100,000 in total.

The grand-prize winner took home a 4K 50” smart TV, while the first and second runners-up won a pressure cooker and a foldable bicycle respectively.

Five others received ang pow worth RM388 each as consolation prize.

Meanwhile, winners of the “myPTPTN Klik-klik je!” campaign also bagged attractive prizes, including a cash prize totalling RM250,000.

The cash prizes were given to 25 winners in conjunction with PTPTN’s silver jubilee to encourage customers to download and use its new mobile app – myPTPTN.

The campaign ends on June 15, which provides PTPTN customers the chance to still win prizes.

The winners were chosen based on five activities to prove use of the app, namely downloading myPTPTN on their smart devices, verifying their identity, completing a PTPTN loan repayment transaction, making a deposit into Simpan SSPN (National Education Savings Scheme), making a salary deduction application or making a direct debit application.

“On behalf of the PTPTN board and management, I congratulate the winners of these campaigns,” said PTPTN chairman Datuk Wan Saiful Wan Jan during the event in Kuala Lumpur.

“I hope the prizes won are put to good use by the winners for the future of their families.

“Hopefully, this will motivate people to continue saving in Simpan SSPN.

“Simpan SSPN has managed to maintain an excellent portfolio since 2018, with a total deposit of RM12.05bil up to April 30 this year.

“As of April 30, there were 5.36 million SSPN accounts,” he said, adding that SSPN was introduced in 2004.

“Since becoming PTPTN chairman, I have always stressed the importance of instilling a culture of saving from a young age.

“I am happy that my vision has been realised through the deposit collection over the last four years, which has seen a significant increase,” said Wan Saiful.

Also present were Higher Education Ministry secretary- general Datuk Seri Abdul Razak Jaafar as well as PTPTN chief executive officer Ahmad Dasuki Abdul Majid and board members.
