Fast-food restaurant chain treating teachers nationwide to free meals

Teachers can redeem either the Sausage McMuffin with Egg or (below) Spicy Sesame McChicken using the free vouchers.

In CONJUNCTION with Teachers Day, McDonald’s Malaysia is giving out 500,000 free meal vouchers to teachers nationwide which they can redeem at any McDonald’s restaurant near them.

The initiative from May 16 to June 30 is part of the quick-service restaurant’s mission to feed and foster communities.

The free meal vouchers will benefit 500,000 teachers working at national and government-aided schools under the purview of the Education Ministry.

They can enjoy a Spicy Sesame McChicken or Sausage McMuffin with Egg meal using the vouchers.

The distribution of the free meal vouchers is an extension of McDonald’s efforts in honouring teachers and their contributions to the nation.

On May 14, McDonald’s announced the 25 winners of the Anugerah Guru Inspirasi (AGI) McDonald’s 2022.

This is an annual award that calls on Malaysians to nominate their “Cikgu Luar Biasa” who have gone beyond the call of duty to nurture students holistically.

This year, McDonald’s received more than 5,600 public nominations for AGI 2022, which is now in its sixth iteration.

McDonald’s will also be hosting Teachers Day parties complete with fun games at all its restaurants nationwide until June 30.
