MALAYSIANS have come together and raised RM40,000 to enable nine-year-old Risty Anak Febry to undergo a heart surgery that will change her life for the better.

The donation drive for the Year Three pupil from Sarawak, initiated by Star Foundation, is now officially closed.

The foundation thanks all donors who contributed to the fundraising effort.

Excess money will be used for the next eligible patient under the programme.

To get a tax exemption receipt, donors need to complete the Medical Fund Donation Form on Star Foundation’s website.

The Medical Fund Programme was started in 2015 to help underprivileged individuals suffering from chronic illnesses by sponsoring one-off medical treatment.

Star Foundation is the charitable arm of Star Media Group, which aims to support impactful initiatives to help a diverse group of beneficiaries.
