Penang will celebrate National Youth Day 2022 with a programme at the Batu Kawan state stadium on May 15.
The event from 7.30am to 10am will feature dances, games and special draws along with an exhibition by Penang Youth Development Corporation (PYDC).
A civic awareness campaign on Undi18 will also be held.
State youth and sports committee chairman Soon Lip Chee said the event organised by PYDC and TLM Event would honour the role of youths in bringing change and development.
“It is a chance to raise awareness about the issues faced by the younger generation.
“Believing in the potential of our youths, I’ve initiated the ‘Youth for Future’ tagline.
“Today, they are our children but tomorrow, they will be leaders responsible for social reform,” he said during a press conference.
PYDC general manager Dr Gwee Sai Ling, who was present, said they were keen to engage with youths.
