Carmaker captures struggles of millennials in festive film

UMW Toyota Motor’s ‘Kota Raya’ highlights how our sense of family and togetherness made the inability to celebrate together with family and friends that much harder during the Covid-19 pandemic.

UMW Toyota Motor’s Hari Raya Aidilfitri campaign this year is themed “Bersama Lebih Bermakna” (More Meaningful Together).

Their Hari Raya film entitled Kota Raya highlights the struggles of millennials in the city.

It stars Aedy Ashraf as Aidil, while Fitri is played by Amerul Afendi, and also features a special appearance by Toyota Gazoo Racing and Toyota Yaris ambassador Janna Nick as Aqilah.

Kota Raya can be viewed on YouTube and other social media platforms.

“Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations this year will definitely be more joyful as everyone will have the opportunity to balik kampung.

“It is important to be with family during times like these, and since there has been no balik kampung exodus for the past two years, it will be wonderful to see everyone with their families once again,” said UMW Toyota Motor president Ravindran K.

Bringing their campaign festivities closer to customers, UMW Toyota Motor hosted weekend events last month at their outlets nationwide.

Over 4,000 Toyota customers enjoyed special deals along with other value-added offers.
