SITI Rahmah Abdullah was determined to migrate from her village in Richard Longhouse, Kapit in Sarawak, to Johor Baru at the age of 16, carrying with her dreams of a better future.

Even though she wanted to pursue further studies, she knew it would be hard on her parents, both farmers, who struggled to support the family.
