THE Johor Fisheries Department is embarking on an initiative to increase the population of udang galah (giant freshwater prawns) in the state’s rivers.
Department director Zainudin Abdul Wahab said some 100,000 giant freshwater prawn fry worth RM20,000 were released into rivers.
