Put future of athletes first, sports associations urged


Dr Siva is keen for JKA to work with Makaf again for the benefit of karate athletes.

SPORTS associations should set aside personal interests, especially when it involves the future of state and national athletes, says Johor Karate Association (JKA) chairman Datuk Dr K. Siva.

He was referring to a conflict that started in 2019 when the Malaysia Karate Federation (Makaf) decided to drop JKA as an affiliate member.
