With the surge of the Omicron variant, Covid-19 restrictions had ruled out the possibility of any large physical gathering the Chinese New Year celebration.

Octogenarian Datuk Dr Foo Wan Kien, the chairman of City Motors Group, had planned to host a grand dinner to gather the 142 descendants of his late father, Foo Yet Kai, a tin mining tycoon and philanthropist.
