Gifts aplenty for the season

CONSUL-GENERAL of the People’s Republic of China in Penang Lu Shiwei presented two mascot dolls to Star Media Group (SMG) representatives during a festive visit to The Star Pitt St in George Town.

On hand to receive the courtesy gifts were SMG client brand marketing general manager Simone Liong and news editor Alex Teng.

The mascots are for the upcoming 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics which will be held from Feb 4 to Feb 20.

Separately, Carlsberg promotion and function executive Phang Kee Fatt, regional sales manager Toh Swee Huat and key account manager Lee Chee Ching presented a Chinese New Year gift set to Teng at Star Pitt St on Tuesday.

On the same day, Teng and Liong received a festive hamper from Sunway Carnival Mall general manager Chai Wen Yew and senior marketing manager Wong Shu Ying.

On Monday, Penang youth and sports committee chairman Soon Lip Chee and representatives from Penang Youth Development Corporation (PYDC) presented mandarin oranges to SMG to mark the festive celebration.

On hand to receive the fruits were Liong and assistant news editor Tan Sin Chow.

Also present were PYDC general manager Dr Gwee Sai Ling, PYDC deputy general manager Ng Hooi Ting, PYDC senior programme executive Samantha Tang Mun Chee and SMG Penang brand marketing team leader Andy Tan.

Ideal Property Group Branding and PR team head Khoo Phay Mun and her team also brought festive cheer to SMG staff members during this period of celebration.

Present during the visit were PR executive Kate Teoh with 1st Avenue senior marcom executives Joanne Ooi Liu Yan and Shermaine Boey Shee Mun.
