REMEMBERING her father’s advice pushed Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) graduate Leong Joe Yee to not only complete her Reserve Officer Training Unit (Palapes) programme but the 26-year-old also walked away with the Best Cadet Officer Award.

The Penangite, who graduated with a Bachelor of Aeronautical Mechanical Engineering degree, is also the only female Chinese undergraduate to have joined Palapes at UTM.
