RM1mil in compound fees issued for SOP violations


Ariffin advises the public to adhere to the SOP.

COMPOUND fees totalling RM1mil were issued to 819 individuals and companies in Sibu for violating the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) standard operating procedure (SOP) from January to Dec 23 last year.

Sibu Crime Prevention and Community Safety Division head DSP Ariffin Baha said so far, RM700,000 of the amount had been received but 68 violators have yet to pay up.
