Plea for support to recoup major losses

LOCAL craftsmen are hoping more cultural and crafts programmes will be held this year to help their businesses recover from the effects of Covid-19 and the movement control order (MCO) that was implemented in various phases since March 2020.

Traditional Malay musical instruments craftsman Mohd Ismail Abd Rahim, 44, said although he managed to recover 30% of his business sales after the start of Phase Four of the National Recovery Plan (NRP), it was still not enough to recoup his savings that were used during the MCO.
