TO usher in the Year of the Tiger, Sports Toto Malaysia’s 35th annual Chinese New Year ang pow donation campaign will run from Jan 20 to 24.
It aims to contribute to 123 old folks homes nationwide, benefitting more than 4,700 senior citizens.
“We are still unable to hold the donation campaign for the public due to the pandemic.
“Therefore, we will only donate to old folks homes to reduce the risk of spreading the virus,” said Sports Toto senior communications manager Giam Say Khoon.
Since its inception in 1988, the company has contributed over RM22.5mil worth of ang pow and hampers to more than 414,000 senior citizens in the country.
The campaign is part of the company’s Helping Hands programme, a CSR initiative supporting various social sustainability projects, such as national sports development, festive donations, food bank projects and environmental conservation campaigns.
