KUALA LANGAT district in southwestern Selangor has seen its fair share of major incidents this year, culminating in floods in mid-December.

The 858 sq km district with a population of over 320,000 was badly affected following a two-day downpour that started on Dec 17, which left many villages submerged in up to waist-deep waters.
