Time to heed calls for independent councillors

Residents in Selangor appear to be in favour of appointing more independent councillors without political affiliations, to serve in local governments.

Suggestions are being mooted to have residents associations (RAs) members appointed to local councils, as many feel that it is high time local communities are better represented.
