Encouraging home ownership


The Mah Sing Now campaign has been extended as many have shown a strong interest in the company’s projects, with an increase in footfall at its sales galleries across Malaysia.

Mah Sing Group Bhd has lauded the 12th Malaysia Plan (12MP) as it outlines the strategic direction and key initiatives for the country to revitalise its economy post-Covid-19 pandemic.

It also displays the government’s commitment in providing quality and affordable housing to Malaysians, especially in the B40 and M40 groups, as another 500,000 units of affordable housing are set to be built under 12MP.

The government will be enhancing financing facilities too, such as funds for the Youth Housing Scheme as well as the Affordable Housing and Rent-to-Own programmes to ensure that the low- and middle-income groups are not burdened by instalment payments.

Mah Sing founder and group managing director Tan Sri Leong Hoy Kum shared, “We view the 12th Malaysia Plan positively as it emphasises social welfare and protection as well as economic growth.

“This creates a conducive environment for the rakyat and local businesses to build a strong foundation for the next five years as the nation works towards ensuring sustainable and inclusive economic development for all Malaysians.

“For the property industry, the private sector can also echo the government’s initiative to offer more affordable homes for the B40 and M40, by playing our part to provide affordable homes in strategic locations with innovative layouts that appeal to the mass market,” said Leong.

Driven by the reopening of more economic sectors under the National Recovery Plan and overwhelming interest in the group’s projects, Mah Sing announced the extension of its “Mah Sing Now” campaign until Dec 31.

The campaign offers a three-pronged approach for housebuyers to enjoy “three doses” of home ownership boosters, namely Own Now, Zero Now and Save Now, for selected units in participating projects across the nation.

“The high vaccination rate and reopening of sales galleries have provided a much-needed impetus to the property industry as we see clear interest for our projects and a significant increase in footfall at our sales galleries,” said Leong.

“Housebuyers are making appointments to visit our sales galleries to scout for the ideal home.

“We are strongly encouraged by the positive feedback and this boosts our confidence to extend the Mah Sing Now campaign to ensure that interested buyers will be able to enjoy the perks that we offer.

“Having said that, all our sales galleries implement stringent standard operating procedure, adhering to the government’s guidelines.

“As we equip our sales galleries with 100% vaccinated workforce, we are committed to providing a safe environment for our customers, especially when we assist them in embarking on their exciting home ownership journey,” Leong added.

The Mah Sing Now campaign was first rolled out in July this year.

The first home ownership booster is Own Now – facilitating easy loan approval with Maybank Houzkey.

This is followed by Zero Now, where the approach extends zero payments to buyers – namely zero down payment, zero payment during construction as well as zero legal fees on sale and purchase agreement and loan.

Lastly, there is Save Now, which sees big savings of up to 50% off monthly payment, savings on memorandum of transfer and free furnishing.

Additional cash incentive also awaits buyers who can prove they are vaccinated or have registered for Covid-19 vaccination.

In Klang Valley, participating projects under the campaign are M Luna (Kepong), M Vertica (Cheras), M Adora (Wangsa Melawati), M Centura (Sentul), M Oscar (off Kuchai Lama), M Arisa (Sentul), M Aruna (Rawang), Sensory Residence and Cerrado Suites @ Southville City (KL South).

For the southern region, participating projects are Meridin Bayvue (Sierra Perdana), Hazel, Orchid and Acacia @ Meridin East (Iskandar Puteri), Meridin Medini Condo (Iskandar Puteri), Meridin Medini SOVO (Iskandar Puteri), Meridin Medini 1 Retail (Iskandar Puteri), iParc (Tanjung Pelepas) and Ixora Park City @ Meridin East (Pasir Gudang).

In the northern region, Ferringhi Residence 2 (Batu Ferringhi) falls under this campaign.
