THE Penang Island City Council (MBPP) and Seberang Prai City Council (MBSP) will be appointing new city councillors to fill up the non-governmental organisation (NGO) quota in the respective local councils for next year.
State local government committee chairman Jagdeep Singh Deo said the existing councillors — 24 of them from each city council — will see their term end on Dec 31.
