TO MARK its first anniversary of being accorded city status, Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) has planned various programmes and incentives to be held until December this year.

Subang Jaya mayor Noraini Roslan, in announcing this, said the purpose was to inspire a sense of belonging among the community while promoting MBSJ’s success and achievements.

“It is also a token of appreciation to the many stakeholders who provided support and encouragement in improving the quality of MBSJ’s services.”

Noraini was speaking at the first anniversary celebration at MBSJ headquarters on Oct 20.

Among the programmes were a “Meet and Greet Chat with the Mayor” on Monday, a Photography and Short Video competition yesterday, a Residents Representative Council (MPP) Upcycling competition, a JMB Recycling Site Corner Competition and a MBSJ Forum next month.

There will also be a City Strata Community Best Management Body Award ceremony on Dec 19, as well as a football tournament, a Subang Jaya City Marathon Virtual Run and PS4 eSports Competition (FIFA 2022), all to take place in December.

The city council is also offering an exemption on late payment charges on assessment for the second term (July to December), as well as monthly parking pass discounts throughout December at the MBSJ SS15 multi-storey carpark.
