LOCAL eyewear retailer Season Optical has spent more than RM1mil to not only provide free eye screening and spectacles to the underprivileged, but also thousands of rice packs to families feeling the impact of Covid-19.

Season Optical chief executive officer Calvin Chung said the pandemic had led to pay cuts and job losses, and many low-income or B40 families were unable to afford proper spectacles for their children.
