Rewarded for promptly paying their assessment tax

Najmuddin picking the winners of the lucky draw, which was broadcast on MPKj’s Facebook page.

FORTY-FIVE ratepayers who settled their assessment tax on time, won attractive prizes in a lucky draw organised by Kajang Municipal Council (MPKj).

The programme, which was broadcast on MPKj’s Facebook page, saw the ratepayers take home prizes that included a motorcycle, six bicycles, eight televisions, 10 mobile phones and 20 branded electrical items.

MPKj president Najmuddin Jemain said the lucky draw was aimed at encouraging ratepayers to settle outstanding arrears and pay their assessment tax before the due date.

“The due date for the second term of the year was Aug 31.

“A total of 9,642 ratepayers out of 347,136 active account holders were eligible for the lucky draw.”

He also said that MPKj’s assessment tax collection was fully online now, and physical bills were no longer posted from Jan 1 this year.
