‘Stop issuing new liquor licences’

KUALA Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) has been urged to stop issuing new licences for the sale of liquor in Chinese medicine halls, convenience stores and sundry shops, and allow current licence holders to continue to operate.

Selangor Kuala Lumpur Wine and Spirit Chinese Dealers Association secretary Chooi Leong Peow said it was only fair that the government allow businesses that have been operating for decades to continue doing so.
