Fee exemption for traders at Pekan Sungai Besi food court

Roadside food stalls in Pekan Sungai Besi will now operate from the new food court.

SOME 64 food traders who were previously operating by the roadside in Pekan Sungai Besi, Kuala Lumpur can now do business in comfort with the completion of a new food court.

Pusat Penjaja Pekan Sungai Besi @ D’Laman Rasa is part of Kuala Lumpur City Hall’s (DBKL) efforts to spruce up the area.

“The traders had to be relocated as they were affected by road-widening and beautification projects in Pekan Sungai Besi,” DBKL said in a statement.

The construction of the food court began in 2016 and was completed this year.

The rental for lots is between RM240 and RM300 per month.

However, traders are exempted from paying until the end of the year and will enjoy a 50% discount on licensing fees.
