Local councils urged to plant more trees in Selangor’s urban areas

SELANGOR government is calling on local councils to plant trees that provide shade along main thoroughfares and in residential areas to create a cooler environment.

Green open spaces should also be preserved as much as possible, said state tourism, environment, green technology and Orang Asli affairs committee chairman Hee Loy Sian.
