FANS of Penang Football Club (PFC) now have another reason to cheer following its strong outing in the country’s top tier league.

After finishing third in the Super League, PFC launched its brand merchandise – collared T-shirts, windbreaker jackets and mufflers – as a reward for the fans for their unwavering support throughout the campaign.

The T-shirts and mufflers come in two attractive colours – Blue Pearl and Blue Warrior – while the windbreaker jackets in Blue Pearl have the words ‘Haria Penang Haria’ printed on them, which is the slogan of the Panthers.

Penang youth and sports committee chairman Soon Lip Chee hoped that the club’s branding effort with the hashtag ‘#OrangKITA’ would lift the sporting spirit and culture among the local community.

“The branding ‘#OrangKITA’ will be emblazoned on the collared T-shirts.

“This goes with our football culture here.

“The merchandise will allow Penangites to celebrate the club’s success in the recent Super League,” he said at the launch of the merchandise at Komtar recently.

Soon said those who were interested in the merchandise could contact PFC marketing officers.

He hoped the club could meet demand so that the fans could put the merchandise to good use for the Malaysia Cup.

The Malaysia Cup, which runs from tomorrow to Nov 30, is making a comeback following last year’s absence due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

“The sale of PFC merchandise will be carried out online first.

“The PFC management has also been contacted by various sports outlets which want to collaborate with Penang FC to become merchandise dealers.

“I hope a deal can be sealed with the sports outlets,” he said.

Also present were PFC board members Datuk Dr Mohamad Farazi Johari, Datuk Norazmi Mohd Narawi and Bharathi Suppiah as well as PFC general manager Jeffrey Chew Gim Eam.

The collared T-shirt is priced at RM89.90, muffler at RM49.90 and windbreaker jacket at RM109.90.

Interested buyers can call 017-455 6873 (Kanan Kalimuthu), PFC marketing officer or authorised distribution representative at 017-424 1430 (Adi M’sia) and 017-455 6972 (Emiz SK).
