NEW laws are needed to ensure proper hostels are given to foreign workers in Penang, said state local government, housing, town and country planning committee chairman Jagdeep Singh Deo.
He said he highlighted the matter when discussing the legal perspectives on the Urban Regeneration Project for foreigners with Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican in Putrajaya on Monday.
