Illegal cooking oil worth over RM7,000 seized from Sibu house

A TOTAL of 2,975 one-kilogramme packets of illegal cooking oil worth RM7,437 were seized from a house in the Rantau Panjang residential area in Sibu, Sarawak.

Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry (KPDNHEP) Sibu branch chief Kelyn Bolhassan said the seizure on Aug 17 was made after a five-day surveillance found that the premises was suspected of having committed an offence under Section 20 (1) of the Control of Supply Act 1961.
