Nasi kandar eatery Hameediyah Restaurant has a unique way of distributing food to the needy during the pandemic – by using the traditional “kandar”.
But instead of carrying containers laden with rice and curry, the restaurant’s workers carried pre-packed nasi kandar meals in pots balanced on the ends of a wooden pole or “kandar” and hefted on the shoulder.
