PUTRAJAYA Holdings Sdn Bhd, the master developer of Putrajaya, received the prestigious Asean – Occupational Safety and Health Network (OSHNET) Excellence Awards for its innovations and achievements in promoting workplace safety and health standards.

Putrajaya Holdings was the only Malaysian company to receive the award along with 18 other enterprises in South-East Asia, nominated by the labour ministries of Asean member states.

Addressing the virtual award ceremony telecast live from Vientiane in Laos, Asean Socio-Cultural Community deputy secretary-general Kung Phoak congratulated Putrajaya Holdings on its achievements that contributed to a better, safer and healthier Asean community.

Putrajaya Holdings Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Datuk Hashimah Hashim attributed the win to the team’s commitment, business partners and the company’s “Generative Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Culture” which focuses on maintaining systematic management in all its business activities and aims for constant improvement through strategic action plans at all levels of leadership.

“We hope our achievement will inspire other businesses to improve workplace safety and prioritise the well-being of stakeholders while continuing commitment to raising standards,” she added.

Receiving the award remotely on behalf of Putrajaya Holdings was its corporate strategy and communications general manager Mohainee Tahir.

The Asean-OSHNET Awards, since 2016, has continuously showcased enterprises that have set a high bar for occupational safety and health (OSH) standards.

The awards signify Asean’s commitment to promoting closer public-private partnerships in improving OSH standards in the region.
