700 line up to get bags of essentials

A GROCERY bag initiative in Desa Petaling, Kuala Lumpur, saw nearly 700 underprivileged people from its surrounding areas turning up to collect the aid.

Ti-Ratana Welfare Society treasurer and head of operations Premanathan Jaganathan said those affected by the Covid-19 pandemic had queued up at the organisation’s headquarters to collect free bags of essential items.
