Two new flavours for coffee brand’s ready-to-drink series

Coffee lovers will have something to look forward to with the introduction of two new flavours in Nescafe’s ready-to-drink series.

Recognised as popular coffee choices, Kopi C and Kopi Cham are inspired by the kopitiam, which is an inherent part of Malaysia’s coffee heritage, said Nestlé Malaysia Bhd Ready-to-Drink business executive officer April Wong.

Brewed from a combination of Arabica and Robusta beans, Kopi Cham is a mix of tea and coffee, while Kopi C has a smoother blend of coffee and milk.

“Of course, nothing can be as good as actually sitting in your local kopitiam, enjoying your favourite cuppa.

“However, with the nation still hard at work fighting the pandemic, Malaysians who have been advised to stay home are longing for a taste of the familiar now more than ever.

“This range could not have come at a better time with these traditional coffee flavours, conveniently and hygienically packed in a can to be enjoyed in the comfort and safety of one’s own home,” said Wong.

Hygiene was a guarantee as all cans are free from contamination, she added.

“Our dedicated production line and retort process, which is the most important process in killing bacteria in our water-filtering system and closed piping circuits, ensures every can is sterilised,” said Wong.

In preserving the nostalgic feel, the coffee brand has also featured an entire range of traditional coffees through its “Kopitiam Series”, which features other flavours such as Nescafe tarik, white coffee, kopi-O and Nescafe ais.

To bring this range to consumers, Wong said extensive research was carried out to determine what were the top coffee permutations at local coffeeshops.

The Kopitiam Series is available nationwide at all participating retail outlets and e-commerce sites.
