Fallen tree blocks access road in Balik Pulau


A TREE fell on a main access road in George Town, blocking traffic along Jalan Titi Kerawang in Balik Pulau at around 7am Monday morning (July 12).

Fire and Rescue Department operations officer Saladin Abdul Rahim said firemen took almost three hours to remove the tree and clear the way to traffic.

“No injuries were reported and we conducted the operation in full PPE suits from 7.51am.

“The operation was successfully completed at 10.37am," Saladin said, adding that the operation was conducted by firemen from Balik Pulau and Teluk Bahang fire stations.
