‘Lift restrictions on workshops’

No automobile workshops, service centres, spare parts businesses or tyre shops are allowed to operate in EMCO areas. Only emergency repairs can be carried out. — KK SHAM/The Star

AUTO workshop operators in Klang are urging National Security Council (NSC) to allow them to fully open for routine car service, attend to repairs or fix accessories instead of only carrying out emergency repairs.

Workshop operators said they were told by Klang Municipal Council that during the enhanced movement control order period, they were only allowed to tow and repair vehicles that had stalled on the road or which had been damaged in an accident.
