Hotline to register for Covid-19 vaccine

THE office of Petaling Jaya MP Maria Chin Abdullah has launched a hotline to help individuals with their Covid-19 vaccine registration.

It caters to groups such as old folk, people with disabilities and those who have no access to smartphones and Internet.

The service is being offered as there is a need for these vulnerable groups to register for their vaccination easily and quickly.

“The outreach to get more people to register through the MySejahtera app and official website does not cater to those who have problems, ” said a press statement from the MP.

The hotline is the second stage of a vaccination outreach programme.

Since March, staff and volunteers have opened vaccination registration counters in three areas in the Petaling Jaya constituency.

“Through the hotline, we will contribute to the reduction of infection risks among vulnerable groups such as old folk and people with illnesses, as they won’t have to leave their houses to register, ” said the statement.

The hotline provides four major services:

- assist to register for Covid-19 vaccination;

- help check vaccination appointment date;

- answer questions related to vaccines; and

- arrange and subsidise RM5 as transportation cost for those going for their appointments.

The hotline will operate from Monday to Sunday.
