More cab drivers switch jobs


HUNDREDS of taxi drivers are giving up their jobs to look for other sources of income as their daily earnings have dropped by at least 80% because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Taxi driver Mohd Zamri Mahazan, 48, said many among the more than 2, 000 taxi drivers operating at the Larkin Bus Terminal area had hung up their keys as they depended heavily on tourism activities for income.
