Changes to bus services in line with MCO 3.0


A notice being put on a bus to limit the passenger capacity to 28 persons.

FOLLOWING the Federal Government’s announcement of stricter standard operating procedures under movement control order 3.0, Prasarana Malaysia Berhad will adjust its public transport services nationwide.

In line with the changes made to support efforts to battle the pandemic, Prasarana advised those who use the Rapid Penang public transport services to plan their trips carefully by following the latest information given.

“Rapid Penang bus passengers are advised to go to our social media platforms for updates, ” ​​Prasarana said in a statement.

It also said that the passenger capacity for all its stop-and-go bus services would be reduced to 50% for all routes.

“Bus frequencies during peak hours are maintained.

‘The morning peak hours are between 6am and 10am and evening peak hours between 4pm and 8pm.

“The bus frequency for non-peak hours will be reduced to 50% with changes to the schedules based on demand.

“Consumers must comply with all the standard operating procedures and plan their trips in advance for convenience, ” the statement said.
