Penang drug ring busted


The drugs seized by police included 15,902gm of heroin and 3,622gm of syabu. Also confiscated are a motorcycle, two necklaces worth RM8,700 and two rings worth RM4,515.

POLICE in Penang busted a drug smuggling syndicate that has been active since early this year, seizing drugs worth RM310,000 and arresting three of its members.

State police chief Comm Datuk Sahabudin Abdul Manan said a team from North Seberang Prai Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department detained a man at Butterworth’s industrial zone on Wednesday at about 7pm.
